Mission-critical performance?
Depend on it.
A proven foundation of reliability
The Document Scanner 7500 leverages its design strength from Kodak
Imagelink Scanners, the industry leaders among high-volume production scanners. Its
enhanced transport handles an unsurpassed range of document sizes, thicknesses, and
surface quality to minimize stoppages and the need for exception scanning. An advanced
document feeder accepts mixed-size documents in stacks up to 1.5" (or approximately
200 pages), further reducing operator time and labour costs.
Productive scanning you can depend on
The Document Scanner 7500 scans up to 120 pages per minute (A4 letter-size,
landscape mode, 200 dpi; 90 ppm portrait); equivalent to 240 images per minute in duplex
mode. Simple controls, preprogrammed function keys, and available accessories help
operators become efficient with little training. In a single pass, the Document Scanner
7500 will scan the fronts and backs of documents, and read bar codes and patches to reduce
manual data entry, while printing information such as time/date or sequence number. And
your scanning reliability will be backed by a responsive, global network of certified
Kodak Field Engineers.
Shift your scanning into high gear with the image quality, productivity, and
reliability of the Kodak Digital Science Document Scanner 7500.
Built-in ATP provides more throughput with less scanning
The Document Scanner 7500 incorporates dynamic thresholding capabilities. ATP provides
uniform image quality from batches of intermixed documents. This eliminates the need to
presort documents by background colour, print density, or quality. In many cases,
compression is also improved, resulting in smaller file sizes. Rescans are minimized and
more work gets done faster.

Standard features
- Ergonomic location of controls, feeder, and output hopper helps operators remain
comfortable and productive for long periods of time.
- Simple control panel, 18 image-processing modes, and preset image-processing templates
provide an easy-to-use interface for even occasional operators.
- Automatic feeder with self-centering feed guides and convenient exit hopper maximise
operator productivity.
- Gap release lever accommodates exceptionally thick documents, such as filled envelopes.
- Short, J-path paper transport is gentle on source documents and highly reliable.
- Handy doors provide easy access to transport.
- Automatic jam, skew, and overlap detection with audible event messages enhance transport
efficiency.
- Computer-based diagnostics and modular design simplify service to minimize downtime.
- Adaptive Threshold Processing enables uniform image quality from intermixed documents to
eliminate sorting and reduce rescanning.
- Comprehensive image processing algorithms optimise image quality.
- On-board image compression supports Group III and IV.
- Selectable resolution from 66 to 300 dpi.
- Supports industry-standard SCSI-2 interface.
Optional accessories
- Kodak Digital Science Patch Reader 5000/7000 reads predefined patches on documents to
automatically maintain hierarchical document and batch structure.
- Kodak Digital Science Bar Code Reader 5000/7000 recognises data encoded on documents for
transfer to the host system as part of the Image Header. Recognises Code 3 of 9,
Interleaved 2 of 5, and Codabar; can read multiple codes per page.
- Kodak Digital Science Document Printer 5000/7000 prints information on scanned documents
for identification and tracking.
- Kodak Digital Science Footswitch allows hands-free operation for enhanced user
productivity.
- Kodak Digital Science
Universal Console adds to utility and operator efficiency. All Document Scanner 7500
accessories function at full transport speed.
